Utilizes computer aided drafting techniques to perform applicable drafting work. Responsible for creation of accurate component, assembly modeling and detail drawings of a complex nature such as injection molded, cast, and formed sheet metal parts. to determine and establish acceptable standards of performance, material selection, type of construction, etc. Construct detail drawings %26amp; assemblies from sketches, design layouts, or electronic files received from Project Managers, external sources, or other team members.

Ability to design complete products that meet form, fit, and function requirements per applicable company and/or industry standards. Works closely with quality teams to help resolve component drawings/die discrepancies in order to meet form, fit and function of customer needs. Assist with creating file types needed to aid the production floor in helping maintain/reduce external PPM%26rsquo;s. Required to utilized the ERP system where needed to assist production plants in manufacturing product.

Requires completion of a 2 year technical degree program or 5 years experience and background in designing techniques and principles around which the products are developed.
