Member of the HR team that will ensure accurate and timely processing and recording of company's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry Payroll processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for 800-1000 exempt employees, including a bonus payroll on an annual basis.
Payroll input and review including: new hires, terminations, time entry, stop payments, voluntary/involuntary deductions, earnings, taxable/non-taxable fringe benefits, associates tax elections, payment method elections, etc.
Administer all Payroll tax related task for all Rust-Oleum companies:
Apply for new SIT/Local tax accounts as needed and close old accounts.
Communicate with ADP any tax notices and response/resolve ADP tax exception notices.
File Pennsylvania local tax for current and new employees.
Create annual State allocation report for RPM audit.
File quarterly tax returns for any payroll taxes not handled by ADP (currently - New York SDI, Newark Employer city tax, Washington W/C tax)
Administer relocation payments with relocation vendor. Reconcile between HRIS and relocation vendor annually.
Complete Year End payroll related tasks as needed:
Enter third party sick pay for New Jersey salaried employees
Update Unemployment tax rates on ADP site
Conduct yearend review of State and Local tax process and any adjustments, as needed.
Provide backup time-keeping, and Non-Exempt payroll responsibilities.
Respond to employment verifications, audit, garnishments, or other agencies inquiries.
Use electronic imaging system (Perceptive Content) to check and store payroll changes.
Associates Degree or equivalent
5-7 years of Payroll experience
Experience with Executive Pay programs
Multi-state Payroll Tax experience
Intermediate Excel skills
Fundamental Payroll Certification - a plus
ADP experience - a plus
Oracle Enterprise Business experience - a plus
Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
Great customer service skills.
