The Role: In this role, you will:
+ Be responsible for creating and maintaining components, materials, and processes
+ Work with a variety of components and materials used in GPS Products
+ Provide technical leadership to Design Engineers, Purchasing, Quality & Program Managers to resolve component issues in regards to obsolescence, technical changes, part shortages & failures
+ Perform BOM Analysis on new designs
+ Provide technical support in the resolution of complex commodity issues in design and manufacturing environment
+ Create and update documentation needed to support Program requirements

+ You possess good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
+ You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills (Customers, Peers, Management and Suppliers)
+ You re willing to put in the time and effort it takes to get the job done
+ You are always looking for ways to do things better and faster
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Must have a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 6 years of direct related experience
+ Knowledge of components, materials or processes used in the Electronics Industry
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Ability to work on a cross-functional team
+ US Citizen
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Candidates with Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Material, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
+ Past experience as a Component or Application Engineer
+ Experience with creating part specifications
+ Experience with updating process documents
+ Familiar with industry standards (IPC, ASTM, JEDEC)
+ Expert in components or materials
+ Familiar with Tin whisker risks and mitigation strategies
