Analyst Program at Skillz:
As a Manager of analytics, you will lead a group of Data Analyst professionals at Skillz.
Your Responsibilities:
* Recruit & Train: Recruit, train, develop and lead a team of data analysts.
* Drive the long term vision of the team; set clear priorities and expectations on weekly deliverables to achieve that vision
* Data Insights: Own the delivery of product insights and highlighting opportunities to improve acquisition, engagement, retention, monetization, and player experience for our current and potential customers.
* Oversee the creation of dashboards and reports that analyze key performance metrics and player behavior.
* Build strong relationships with product & finance counterparts to ensure uplift metrics are provided for new features, new experiments.
* Data Accuracy: Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables completed by the team on a timely basis.
* Communication: Drive highly visible strategic projects, collaborating cross-functionally to structure problems, understand opportunities, and develop solutions.
* Use data-driven storytelling skills to persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior executives and other stakeholders.
* Leadership: Be a strategic leader within the analytics and product organization.
Your Skillz:
* 7+ years experience in product, data or marketing analytics
* Atleast, 3+ years of experience working for gaming, mobile & entertainment companies
* 2+ years of experience leading a team of analysts
* Inquisitive mindset with a major in marketing, business, economics, statistics, engineering, or mathematics preferred but not required
* Experience performing quantitative and strategic analysis (preferably in product development, consumer marketing, or consulting preferred)
* Self-starter with a 'don't take no for an answer' attitude
* Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
* Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc).
* Demonstrated track record of success in a high-growth, self-directed business environment.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Location: Work will be in office in San Francisco or Las Vegas
Nice to Haves:
* Gameplay analysis experiences a plus, with an understanding of user engagement and monetization strategies in gaming or mobile apps
* Deep understanding and insights around Retention, Engagement, Audience and Monetization areas in gaming, consumer and entertainment apps.
