Snowflake's pre-sales organization is actively seeking a Corporate Emerging Sales Engineer to join the Snowflake Sales Engineering Technical Talent Program -- "Snowmaker". Snowmaker's purpose is to develop aspiring technical talent through a combination of education and mentorship.

This role will prepare you for a role in Snowflakes Corporate sales segment. This segment caters specifically to the data application needs of small and medium sized businesses. This dynamic, fast paced segment focuses on technology innovators, startups, data disruptors, and companies who have less than 500 employees.

In this role you will have the opportunity to learn Snowflake's technology portfolio, the needs and business challenges of customers in every industry, and Snowflakes sales process to address them. You'll do so while applying your technical aptitude, exceptional communication and creative problem solving skills on a daily basis.

To be successful in this role you must share our passion about delivering the vision of the data cloud and thriving in a dynamic environment. You must possess the flexibility and willingness to jump in and get done what needs to be done to make Snowflake and our customers successful.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

This five-month program offers comprehensive technical and sales skills training through a combination of classroom sessions, shadowing and mentorship. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be joining our North American Corporate Sales Engineering organization.

Our program begins August 8th, 2022 and will take place virtually. However, we will expect team members to work with their local team, in an office, at the completion of the program.

IN THE TRAINEE ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:

* Receive first class training on the Snowflake product, collaborate with cross functional teams.
* Gain an understanding of our sales practices as well as knowledge about our products in order to help develop business solutions.
* Shadow sales representatives and sales engineers on client engagements.
* Hone your presentation skills through live practice scenarios and intensive coaching.
* Gain valuable experience in some of the fastest growing technology sectors including Cloud, Data Platform, and Advanced Analytics.

AFTER THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TRAINING, YOU WILL GET TO:

* Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
* Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.
* Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position Snowflake in relation to them.
* Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing.
* Join a large field team of highly successful Corporate Sales Engineers.

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

* A deep interest in translating customer needs and problems into technical solutions.
* A passion for technology, a willingness to learn and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
* An enjoyment of public speaking. This role involves presenting technical subjects to a variety of audiences (technical, business, executive) via a whiteboard session or using presentations and demos.
* A college degree is preferred.
* Industry or internship experience with a focus on data analytics, pre-sales, solution architecture or data engineering is a plus.
* Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Java, cloud technology, data platform, or data analytics experience is a bonus.
* Ability to begin working full time on August 8th, 2022.
