Under general direction, the Bartender provides efficient, timely, and courteous beverage service to our internal and external guests while providing informative answers to all questions to enhance the guest’s overall experience during their stay.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serves food and beverages to members, owners, and guests; anticipating their needs and responding promptly to any and all requests in a friendly and professional manner.
Immediately greets and acknowledges all arriving members, owners, and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner in accordance with departmental procedures
Operates cash register and/or Point of Sale (POS) system.
Adheres to all cash handling guidelines as set forth by the Company.
Responsible for all alcohol and supplies in bar and cash bank accountability.
Maintains positive guest relations through good communication skills, proper attitude, correct body language and eye contact, to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance the overall culinary experience.
Extends a courteous and friendly departure to all members, owners, and guests; thanking them for dining with us and inviting them back again, with a genuine and professional demeanor.
Clears and resets tables, as needed.
Completes all closing side work, inspecting for cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all work areas and of the outlet itself.
Takes ownership of any guest problems and resolve them according to departmental guidelines.
Maintains complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation and proper table set-up.
Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the culinary field required.
No supervisory experience required.
This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS
Health Card – must be state/county-specific.
Food Handler’s Card – must be state/county-specific.
Alcohol Awareness Training Certification – must be state/county-specific.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.

Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.

Basic math skills.
Cash handling skills (the ability to count currency, make and count back change).
