Summary:
This is a highly visible, lead position.
The consultant will work closely with the IT team that is currently managing the HCM system for this large enterprise to understand the nuances of the implemented HCM modules.
Work with various groups to understand their functional and technical requirements for a new, modern HCM system.
The requirements should include integration requirements to integrate with various external systems including the County ERP system, the payroll system and cybersecurity requirements to ensure that all the new system adheres to all cybersecurity requirements.
Support the IT team in evaluating HCM systems and in procuring the best fit system.
Once procured support developing a roadmap for configuring, customizing and rolling out the system.

Typical Tasks/Duties:
Serves as the subject matter expert in Lawson HCM module(s) both in terms of functional capabilities and technical requirements of the module(s).
Provides expertise in HCM systems in general and has a broad understanding and experience working with various HCM products.
Set up Lawson HCM, configure it for client specific requirements, preferably in both on-prem and on-cloud versions.
Customize HCM modules (Lawson or other modern HCM products).
Rapidly develop POCs and demonstrate it to stakeholders.
Rapidly evaluate products available in the market and present pros and cons, recommendations to leadership team.
Translate business needs into technical solutions and recognizes the relationships and impacts between business interests and technical solutions in the context of HCM system implementations
Work with product owners and technical leads to proactively manage stakeholder expectations, project scheduling, user communication, risk management, benefit analysis, quality reviews, and implementation strategies.
Lead project requirements gathering through business analysis and workflow design approach involving stakeholder interviews, functional design, workflow modeling, change management, and use case development.
Establish partnerships with all stakeholders to develop, implement, and deliver modern HCM solutions.
Support the leadership team acting as a liaison between the business and IT organization to develop request for proposals.
Work with various vendors to ascertain their product features, quality, product roadmap, their SLAs and other aspects to help the management team determine TCO and other factors to select a HCM system
Conduct and document software pilots and feasibility studies to support the acquisition process.
Establish development standards based on best practices and coordinate usage of standards.
Performs related duties as required or assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills:
BS in Computer Science or Equivalent. Master's degree preferred.
20+ years of overall IT experience with 10+ years in HCM systems implementation.
Subject Matter Expertise in both functional and technical aspects of HCM systems.
Knowledge of best practices in implementing HCM systems in SaaS model.
Skill in multiple types of project management frameworks and methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
Ability to implement technology solutions, working with multi-disciplinary teams, and to act as a leader.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Experience in implementing modern identity management solutions (IDM) such as Okta to manage cybersecurity in large, multi-modal enterprises is highly preferred.
Experience implementing HCM solutions for large K-12 school districts in the US is preferred.
