Major Role and Responsibilities:
Business partner of Commercial and General Managers.
Provide strategic and commercial input and insight to drive commercial growth in a sustainable way.
Responsible for directing the China Commercial and Accounting functions for Molecular Devices.
Lead and manage China finance team of talented people to cover accounting, tax, commercial FP&A for 4 legal entities and 3 business units in Greater China.
Oversee the development, analysis and interpretation of statistics and accounting information in order to appraise operating results of profitability, performance against budget.
Assist pricing management, drive margin expansion by discount approval process improvement, price realization analysis by product family, and distributor margin post-audit.
Drive Channel Partner visualization to facilitate sustainable growth of China business.
Establishing and maintaining the China Commercial and Accounting Function practices, procedures, and initiatives.
Responsible for China compliance related to Channel Partners and Distributors – work with regional controllers and Moldev Legal dept to ensure compliance with FCPA, international anti-corruption requirements, review of self-audit workbook submitted by regional controllers.
Preparation of financial reports and presentation of findings and recommendations.
Requires an in-depth understanding of US GAAP.
Oversees risk, internal control, balance sheet reviews and the monthly close process for commercial entities.
Interfaces with DHR Internal Audit Group – responsible for planning and executing on internal audit reviews with each regional controller.
