The Senior Manager Finance for retail.com is responsible for managing the financials of the fast growing retail.com (Amazon, Costco.com, Walmart.com) channel of trade. This role actively leads annual and quarterly planning, and financial analysis for this channel. The Senior Manager reports to Director of Commercial Finance, but with a strong dotted line to the Divisional VP, eTail. She/he will act as and have the mindset of a virtual CFO of the Ecommerce channel.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:


  • Analyzing business performance with a focus on providing perspective on trade investment optimization and pricing recommendations
  • Understanding business /category/competition growth trends and identifying growth and savings opportunities
  • Delivering annual budget P/L financials for eTail division
  • Analyzing monthly actuals, identifying and managing risks and opportunities, and providing perspective on monthly forecast, volume and trade spend
  • Serving as the finance lead for custom eTail innovation process and exploration of new eTail enabling capabilities, processes and partnerships.

    The ideal candidate is a passionate finance professional with strong intellectual curiosity. You can dive into the analytics to construct complex financial models as needed, and then are also able to succinctly communicate the insights gained from these models. To do so, you are able to develop a point of view and defend your hypothesis or conclusions. You do not want to merely report results but seek to take an active role in helping to manage the business, in partnership with other functions across the organization.

    You'll be most successful in this role if you have:


  • A mastery of the Amazon selling and purchasing experience
  • Demonstrated an understanding of eCommerce marketplaces, metrics and business dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across multiple functions
  • Experience in constructing and distill insights from complex financial models

    In order to take on these challenges, you'll need to have:


  • 5-8 years' experience in a Finance role
  • Amazon experience, 1P & 3P preferred
  • Experience providing financial support to either a Sales or Marketing organization
  • Consumer products experience is preferred
  • MBA preferred
  • Strong excel modeling skills
  • Deep financial acumen surrounding P/L analysis and management
  • Willingness and aptitude to challenge and influence others in the organization
