Rivendell Behavioral Health Services is an 80-bed full-service behavioral healthcare acute care facility located in Benton, AR, that has been providing quality health care to the residents of Arkansas since 1986 that is currently seeking a Receptionist on an as needed basis. ASSESSMENT AND REFERRAL RN NEEDED!!! 11P-7A MONDAY-FRIDAY
$6,000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus
The Assessment and Referral Nurse is responsible for completing nursing assessment and preliminary plan of care for patients upon admission and assists in the entire assessment/admission process. He/she must have strong communication skills and be confident in answering clinical inquiries made to the hospital and ensure ongoing communication with referring agents. He/she must be able to stay organized and will be responsible for relaying patient information to appropriate departments and coworkers. Strong ability to multitask, data entry and answering phones, as well as faxing information out. He/she will be responsible alerting physicians to clinically pertinent findings from the assessment on the patient and must maintain good rapport with physicians.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred but not required. Knowledge and understanding of nursing practices and principles within the psychiatric setting. Ability to plan for and provide developmentally appropriate individualized nursing care. Ability to teach select aspects of nursing care to others. Ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and/or making nursing decisions. Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with patients, families, visitors and staff. Must be willing to treat all patients with respect and working as a TEAM with entire staff.
