Sr. Accountant
Classification: Sr. Accountant
Compensation: $30.00 to $35.00 hourly
Accountemps is looking for a Senior Accountant for a short-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity. The Senior Accounting Associate performs various accounting and analytical work, such as: • Train, mentor and coach staff accountant on departmental processes, including accounts payables and SAP; • Monitor cash balances and prepare weekly cash reports for senior management review; • Independently manage banking relationships and communications; • Process accounts payables, checks, wires, etc. • Independently manage fixed assets process, including executing physical inventory counts, capitalization and depreciation of assets, monitoring transfers and disposals; • Responsible for the annual filing of the 1099s, including monitoring for new pronouncements, changes in process and compiling and analyzing applicable expenses; • Create various spreadsheets, reports, and data lists, including cash reports and aging reports that identifies trends and variances for senior management review; • Develop new and more efficient processes while utilizing the accounting system (SAP); • Record and track all pre-paid amounts and monthly and annual accruals; • Process and analyze A/R Invoices, including working with project managers throughout the billing processing, and monitoring collections; • Reconcile and analyze various balance sheet accounts in the general ledger and identify variances; • Participate and support the Accounting Manager in preparation for timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and financial audits, including preparation of schedules for the footnotes; • Maintain integrity of database accounting systems by regularly updating files, reports and spreadsheets; • Respond to vendor, client and staff requests for various information; • Performs other accounting administrative tasks as assigned; and, • Other special projects, as required.
