Executive Director - Engineering Lead for Core Wide Area Network (WAN)

JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Plano, TX Full-Time
In this role you will lead a team of engineers building and supporting one of the largest enterprise data network and private optical network in the world. Your focus will on delivery new WAN features for our customers to used.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths, capabilities and advanced knowledge, including:
  • Advanced Knowledge of MPLS networks , Layer 3 VPN, BGP, OSPF , ISIS and Quality of Service (QoS)
  • Experience with Cisco IOSXR operating system and ASR 9000/9900 router platforms
  • Proficiency using Ansible or Python to automate the upgrade and configuration of network devices.
  • Experience with certification testing of OS versions, topology changes and new features
  • Understanding of hardware and software lifecycle management practices.
  • Broad understanding of optical theory, transport technologies and the operation of optical transport
    systems. (including OTN, DWDM, ROADM)
  • Extensive knowledge of fiber optics types, characteristics, and deployment for telecom systems
    Optical System designs including hardware capabilities, amplification sites and operationalizing
    high-capacity transport systems.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated knowledge of colocations and/or third-party data centers.
  • Broad understanding on transport platform management and alarming including, CLI and Element
    Management System use.
