Summary:

The Salesforce Developer has the primary responsibility for overall developing, maintaining and supporting Salesforce.com application for OpenEdge.

The Salesforce Developer has the primary responsibility for overall developing, maintaining and supporting Salesforce.com application for OpenEdge.

This position participates in all phases of the Salesforce.com application cycle (development, testing, administration, and support), and should be proactive in offering methods to increase employee productivity and drive business operation efficiency through the application.

Responsibilities:

Application Development

  • Develop Salesforce applications by following industry best practice
  • Create and update workflow rules
  • Gather requirements and work with the various organizations to create meaningful Salesforce.com applications, reports and dashboards
  • Customize Salesforce.com fields, page layouts, record types, profiles, and roles, sharing rules, validation rules, and permission sets.
  • Write and perform unit test and deploy code changes in Salesforce.com
  • Participate in scrum and periodic planning meetings
  • Provide status updates on project progress
  • Provide clear documentation for all development work

User and Data Maintenance

  • Maintain user accounts, roles, and profiles in the Salesforce.com application.
  • Daily/Monthly updates of data in Salesforce.com
  • Formatting and scrubbing raw data and uploading into Salesforce.com
  • Maintain clean and up-to-date data in the Salesforce.com application
  • Assist in the development of standardized business practices for data entry and standardization.

Training & Documentation

  • Create and/or edit training documentation for ongoing Salesforce.com support.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions on new features for the Salesforce.com system.
  • Participate in change management/release process.
  • Assist in developing documentation on processes and workflows
  • Regularly audit field usage and overall system adoption
  • Undertake additional analysis and reporting projects as directed by management

Salesforce Support and Troubleshooting

  • Trouble-shoot issues within the Salesforce.com system.
  • Responsible for regression and functional testing for new enhancements, system integration, new user group deployment
  • Support end user salesforce.com requests
  • Regularly perform database de-duping and cleanup procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Salesforce administration, customization and development
  • Knowledge of, and experience applying, object oriented programming concepts
  • Knowledge of, and experience applying, n-tier application development methodologies
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL, or SOQL database programming concepts, including database architecture, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance/scalability considerations
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include basic technical writing abilities
  • Knowledge of Salesforce APEX development
  • Knowledge of general sales business process
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML
  • Salesforce.com Architecture, Design, Development, Administration and Operational Support required
  • Force.com developer toolkit - Apex, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Force.com Migration Tool, Web Services/SOA & Metadata APIs
  • Salesforce.com Certified Platform Developer Level 1 or 2 Preferred
  • Ability to multi task and function effectively in a fast paced environment and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing and modern web technologies.
  • Create and maintain a code library so that code can be reused.
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • B.S. in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
