The April 2023 Transitional RN Residency for experienced RNs is now accepting applications. If offered, the program will begin on April 10, 2023. This position is for experienced RN's wanting to go into Labor & Delivery with a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Applications must be completed and submitted via the Internet only. Program availability is subject to change and will only run based on organizational needs. Register your interest in the event that an Labor & Delivery Residency takes place. Placement, interview, and location preferences are not guaranteed. Most or all positions for L&D will be for night shift.
The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. This course is designed to provide nurses with theoretical knowledge needed to provide holistic family-centered care to women, their infants, and family members during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum period; and is targeted toward registered nurses who are new to perinatal nursing. Content included in the program is appropriate to nurses who are experienced, but new to perinatal care.

Estimated pay range for this position is %2432.39 - %2445.02 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates interested in the Labor and Delivery Fellowship must:
- Have a Current FL RN License
- Have a current BLS for Healthcare Provider
- Have 1 year of current RN experience in a hospital setting (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Candidates selected will need to provide a copy of the following documents:
- Nursing Degree/Diploma or Official/Unofficial Transcript indicating the nursing degree awarded
- FL RN license
- BLS for Healthcare Provider card. BLS must be current until 10/2023 or later.
