Search Marketing Specialist (Paid Search)

Addison Group Wilmington, DE Full-Time

Qualified candidates MUST be on-site Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and will be remote Thursday and Friday.


The Paid Search Channel Specialist is responsible for owning and driving paid search as a marketing channel and overseeing the day-to-day initiatives while supporting cross-channel marketing strategies.

Team: The Paid Search Channel Specialist sits within the Chief Marketing Officer’s remit and reports directly to the Head of Digital Marketing. This position falls within the function of Customer Acquisition within Marketing.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive paid search strategy and oversee tactical execution (i.e., Google Ads, Bing Ads)
  • Directly manage the execution of search engine marketing initiatives in collaboration with dedicated agency to achieve strategic objectives
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with agency (dedicated team of 5+ people)
  • Prioritize agency and internal projects and work
  • Analyze performance data to identify and capitalize on optimization opportunities
  • Make data driven decisions
  • Forecast monthly search production and spend to track against company goals
  • Provide annual search production and spend plan to inform broader business plan
  • Manage account, audience, ad copy, and landing page execution strategies
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on all things paid search
  • Develop and present regular reviews of SEM strategy, performance, and optimizations
  • Create and manage testing plan (ad copy, landing pages, etc.)


Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience managing SEM campaigns, preferably w/ experience in financial services

• Cross-channel digital marketing experience a plus

  • Proficient using native platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads), bid management platforms (e.g., Search Ads 360), and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of the ever-changing paid search landscape
  • Proven ability to partner with agency/partners to provide clear direction and ensure strategic and tactical alignment (agency experience is a plus)

• Proven ability to manage a sizable budget using KPIs as a guide

• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills

• Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks for multiple stakeholders and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to take accountability to ensure tasks are executed

• Knowledgeable about paid search data and proficient in generating reports and performing analysis to understand performance and drive optimizations

• Inquisitive mind to guide optimization and analysis opportunities

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel for purpose of data analysis and reporting
  • Interest or experience in auctions or trading a plus
  • Competitive nature a plus
