Job Description

Lehigh Technical is seeking a Production Technician who is Technically versed in the Somerset NJ area.

The Production Technician is part of our Manufacturing team, reporting to the Production/Quality Supervisor. This position supports the power management and access product lines in support of order fulfillment and product quality. The technician is responsible for the inspection, upgrades and testing of our related products. This individual will support the team in meeting production schedules, solving production-related problems, and special projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Perform in-process visual inspections of products.

  2. Follow procedures for rework, upgrading, and testing of product.

  3. Perform work in accordance to UL Standards

  4. Perform final assembly of product from sub-assemblies and replacement parts with both AC and DC parts.

  5. Determine failure mode for all power related product failures, clearly reporting and documenting failure symptoms to enable root cause determination.

  6. Repackage, label and transfer product to warehouse staff for stocking.

  7. Transact material/product movement and lot codes in our ERP system.


  • Education:

High School Diploma & College Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and 5 years work experience.

  • Experience:

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of AC power circuitry.

  2. Demonstrated ability use of electronic equipment in basic troubleshooting.



  1. Ability to trouble-shoot electronics to component-level, demonstrated through previous work experience

  2. Knowledge/experience of ESD Best Practices.

  3. Knowledge of soldering electrical components.

  4. Good written and verbal skills for communicating and documenting issue/testing results.

  5. Ability to work well in a team environment

  6. Familiar with PC/MS office
