Job Description:

The Expertise We're Looking For

* Minimum 7-10 years as a practicing attorney with relevant experience.
* Experience working with a range of institutional asset management and distribution issues, including non-U.S. mandates.
* Experience working with institutional client accounts, including government and ERISA plans (negotiating Investment Management Agreements, etc.) as well as '40 Act subadvised mandates.
* Thorough familiarity with federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
* Strong practical skills and industry knowledge.
* Familiarity with ERISA a plus.
* Experience in the advertising, marketing and GIPS space

The Purpose of Your Role

You will provide counsel to the distribution arm for Fidelity's Institutional Asset Management business drawing upon your experience dealing with Institutional Investors, including high-net worth individual investors, family offices, endowments and foundations, ERISA and government plan clients investing in separate accounts, privately offered funds, and 3(c)(11) collective investment trusts. In this role, you will provide all aspects of legal support to the distribution function of Fidelity Institutional Asset Management's business, including side letter and investment management agreement negotiation, distribution agreements, as well as assisting the business with client inquiries and communications and advising on advertising and GIPS issues.

The Value You Deliver

* You will be a key member and contributor to Fidelity Institutional's Legal team. You will work alongside a legal team of other attorneys and paralegals dedicated to the institutional space. This team works together to support the institutional sales teams.
* You will interact with product, portfolio management, sales, compliance, risk and trading professionals as well as other attorneys across the Fidelity organization.
* You will have responsibility for negotiating the terms of investment management agreements with institutional clients (including pensions/ERISA plans).
* In collaboration with other members of the Fidelity Legal team, you will work closely with Asset Management Compliance and Risk to resolve issues.

$157,000 - $209,000 per year

This position is eligible for incentive compensation or an annual bonus opportunity.
