Sr Electrical Engineer - FPGA

Volt is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer for our client located in Dallas, TX.

This position has a strong focus on FPGA design. Tasks will include development of Firmware Requirements Specifications for FPGA designs, VHDL/Verilog-based RTL and functional design, timing analysis, simulation, and integration of FPGA designs into hardware and with tactical software.

Required Skills:

  • Direct experience using the latest versions of Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus for FPGA timing closure, placement and routing
  • Direct experience using Mentor Questasim for test bench development to verify FPGA requirements in simulation using self-checking test bench methodologies
  • Extensive, proven development results implementing complex signal processing algorithms for Electronic Warfare Radar Warning Receivers in FPGAs

Desired Skills:

  • Simulation and lab functional testing in various software environments requiring familiarity with scripting and COTS test software
