Electrical Engineer/Physicist - Entry Level
Our client is a global developer of inductors, transformers and capacitors for diverse aerospace and defense applications seeks creative engineer to join its NPD Team. This engineer will develop inductor and transformer designs including BOMs, manufacturing instructions, special test circuits and provide other engineering expertise to support rapid development of new products and successful production launch.
The preferred candidate will have the following attributes:
BS EE, PHY or equivalent on the job training Technical foundation in; a. circuit components including inductors, resistors, capacitors, and transformers b. circuit analysis methods c. electrical instruments including DMM, DSO, power meters, network analyzers, programmable automatic test systems d. basic Physics Electromagnetic Theory e. effective hands on methods to identify root cause and implement corrective action
MS Excel, SolidWorks, PSpice, MathCad, or other equivalent software
Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational, leadership and negotiation skills with suppliers and colleagues in US and abroad Strong passion and ability to learn and grow in a fast paced environment leveraging critical thinking skills Experience in design and development of inductors, transformers, and other magnetic components including related electro-mechanical assembly processes soldering, lead assembly, core assembly and encapsulation is highly desired Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to export controlled data
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
