We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for the operation and inspection of various air pollution control and boiler plant auxiliary equipment, including conveyors, pumps, fans, air compressors, and electrical devices.  The position will record operational data, report abnormalities, and perform maintenance-related tasks.  The Auxiliary Operator will also perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Interested applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent with at least three years' experience in a power or industrial plant environment.
  • Possess basic knowledge of air pollution control equipment and boiler auxiliary plant equipment.
  • Be familiar with ash and air quality environmental requirements.
  • General knowledge of power plant operations and equipment maintenance.

Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts, satisfactorily complete the facility's Operator Qualification Program requirements and other technical training required for the position, and work in noisy, hot, humid, and dirty environments.
