Lab Associate
Our client is an international business that provides unique products in the personal care and consumer goods sector to clients throughout the US. They are looking for a Lab Associate to join their team. The staff work very well together and offer a professional, inclusive and friendly environment for everyone.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$18/hr – $20/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Lab Associate who can not only run instrumental instruments to test the quality of their FDA regulated products, but someone who can think outside the box to solve unique industry questions and problems. The Lab Associate must be mature and professional and have basic chemistry laboratory skills as well as strong attention to safety and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities of the Lab Associate:
- Preparing and testing samples that have been treated with product
- Calibrating and maintaining lab instrumentation, cleaning instrumentation, and troubleshooting minor issues that arise
- Assisting with R&D lab needs as requested by senior team members
- Analyzing data and using statistical methods to draw conclusions about study results
- Logging and managing lab data in internal company software system
Qualifications for the Lab Associate:
- Scientific degree, academic research, internships or co-ops is preferred
- Industry experience is appreciated
- 1 – 3 years of experience is acceptable
- A positive energy, enthusiasm for lab work, and strong communication skills
- A passion for working hard and being an active team member
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology is ideal
