Derived Salary: Up to $20/Hour

Summary:  Tulsa, OK, In-office position with starting pay at $20.00 an hour. The working hours are Monday-Thursday; 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Analyzes drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following and other duties that may be assigned:
  • Review’s data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists. Compute’s cost factors and prepares estimates used for preparing bids; selecting vendors or subcontractors; and determining cost effectiveness.
  • Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Interfaces with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates.
  • Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized.
  • Analyzes completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies.
  • Identifies cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; and Database software.
