Summary of Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of administrative and technical work in a Windows environment related to the coordination, control and maintenance of personal computers, printers, telecommunication devices, and other IT related hardware within the organization to insure compatibility and integration with IT strategies.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Self-starter that can collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team
  • Ability to provide timely and effective status updates to customers
  • Ability to develop, test and implement solutions to unique or unusual problems detected during troubleshooting
  • Ability to document and communicate problems, solutions and the implementation process
  • Knowledge of established troubleshooting guidelines and procedures and ability to use them
  • Ability to set up and document new troubleshooting procedures
  • Knowledge of the operations of other technical groups and ability to effectively provide liaison for users with these groups
  • Schedules and prioritizes work to accommodate IT and customer needs while minimizing impact on current projects
  • Knowledge of the design and installation of network cabling
  • Basic understanding of the organization's network and LAN architectures and supporting technologies
  • 3+ years Desktop Support experience in a corporate Windows 7 / 10 environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High capacity for learning and highly collaborative
  • Basic Microsoft Active Directory knowledge
  • Repair, install, upgrade, or reconfiguration of laptop / desktop hardware
  • Able to install and properly configure Windows 7 and Windows 10
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2013 / 2016 Professional Suite and Microsoft Outlook
  • Successful candidate must also possess the aptitude to learn and support custom applications
  • A+, Network+, MCT, or MSCE and ITIL Foundation Certification strongly preferred
  • Overtime work may be required as needed to adapt to business change
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Other Functions: 
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
  • May assist other related departments as required by business needs
Working Conditions:
  • Overtime work may be required throughout the year
  • May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
  • May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time
  • May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard
