Brightline Miami, FL Full-Time
As an essential member of the Brightline Guest Experience team, you'll enhance our retail experience and support revenue generation by driving bold, innovative, and sustainably minded merchandise practices. This position is a hybrid role located primarily in Miami, Florida with regular visits across the Brightline Trains offices, stations across central and south Florida.

Essential Functions:

* Oversee all retail strategy, merchandising and performance including display planning, pricing, inventory targets, merchandise sourcing and display specifications for all Brightline retail outlets in stations and onboard.
* Design, Develop, Negotiate, Purchase and Deliver quality Merchandise that's up to the standards of Brightline expectations.
* Identify, establish, build, and maintain strong vendor partnerships while driving the negotiation process, including costs, pricing, and quantities, identifying current trends, and guest demography and developing merchandising concepts.
* Attend trade shows, industry events and competitors benchmarks.
* Support the development of events, special F&B / Retail activations or trunk shows at the stations to promote merchandise sales, (may require working some evenings/weekends)
* Coordinate all product/merchandise training/coaching efforts to our teammates so they get familiarized with new concepts, brands, and products.
* Partner with the SVP, Guest Experience and Director, F&B to develop an innovative, sustainably minded retail brand experience that is executable in a transportation hub retail environment.
* Regularly visit stations to identify opportunities and needs.
* Visual Merchandising: Deliver all aspects of product placement and visual standards through development of planograms and standards by working directly with the F&B Station Operation Managers to ensure standards are communicated effectively and maintained regularly.
* Leverage BI team to analyze and leverage data to inform and evolve your strategy.
* Develop financial plans at a department, category, and brand level that support company revenues, turn, and margin objectives; re-forecast in-season based on current trend and historical data.
* Manage daily KPI's and total ancillary per pax revenue, including demand forecasting, inventory management, receipt flow, turn, and sell through.
* Analyze and report regularly on key indicators including merchandise sales, registry adds, completion rate, and more.
* Increase profitability by identifying opportunities to increase margins and/or reduce costs.
* Marketing & Promotions: Maximize promotional and marketing strategies through markdowns and/or repositioning strategies working together with Marketing and the operations manager.
* Be guest experience savvy, and partner with the guest experience team to ensure your strategy is driven with the guest in mind


* Bachelor's Degree + 3 years of relevant experience as a Buyer, Merchandiser or Product Development in Retail.
* Cruising/tourism/hospitality industries experience a plus. Proven record in the Food & Beverage, logo, apparel, or souvenirs categories is preferred.
* Previous experience with managing an autonomous market is a plus.
* Strong understanding of guest experience.
* Thorough and advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, including the use of charts and dashboards.
* Team Player, good presentation skills, sense of urgency and great attitude with attention to details.
* Communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and orally, business professionalism.
* Excellent planning and time management skills
* Ability to read and understand costs, prices, margins, and their differences with a commercial mindset, including having the ability to analyze, plan and forecast with accuracy.
* This position is a hybrid role located primarily in Miami, Florida with regular visits across the Brightline Trains offices, stations, and repair facilities across central and south Florida.
* Ability to travel up to 10%
