Summary: Responsible for providing technical support for the Corporate Quality team. Working with both our internal and external quality teams, work on continuous improvement activities as well as support new product activities. Takes leadership of our Voice of the Consumer (VOC) process, where we analyze consumer complaint data and identify opportunities for improvement in our products that will drive improved customer and consumer satisfaction.

This role will work closely with the corporate and plant quality teams, manufacturing, R&D and our brand marketing teams. There will also be interaction with purchasing, our suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with plant and corporate quality teams on management of quality projects and new product launches. Efforts could include risk assessments on new product launches, design and implementation of new quality processes, and statistical assessments of process capabilities and identification of opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze VOC data, identify opportunities for improvement and work across cross-functional teams to drive improvements. Conduct in depth analysis of consumer complaint data in Excel, identifying poorly performing products and engage Brand Marketing and R&D teams to identify possible product improvements.
  • Support day-to-day management of quality incidents, processes, etc., including data analysis, utilization of root cause analysis and other quality methods. Support various transactional activities to support the corporate quality function.
Required Skills: Bachelors degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical) 3 + years of quality experience (in a manufacturing setting) or equivalent process industry or consumer products manufacturing experience. Knowledgeable in manufacturing equipment and processes. Proficient in MS office, Statistical analysis (Minitab, etc). SAP experience desirable. Experience in lean, six sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies. Comfortable in an office as well as industrial environments. Lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to travel up to 30%
