Healthcare facility is looking for Clinical Director.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY

Direct all clinical staff and program services. Review patient records to ensure compliance with regulations/standards. Provide counseling services when needed. Evaluates and monitors changing needs of population served and program delivery.

Prepares weekly treatment schedules with staff assignments.

Provide adequate clinical staffing for program needs.

Ensure the clinical staff receives the appropriate training and supervision for program implementation. Review clinical charting.

Act as liaison with both internal and external customers.

Train on OASAS rules and regulations pertinent to their unit.

Oversees quality of counselors’ work by reviewing patient Electronic Medical Records, treatment plans/recovery care plans, progress notes, continuing care plans and discharge summaries.

Provides counselors’ training on electronic charting documentation and treatment interventions, as necessary.

Follow up with staff to ensure electronic medical records are completed within a specified timeframe on a daily basis.

Conduct team meetings and document the case conference review.

Communicate with other department supervisors to address and resolve patient and operational concerns.

Demonstrates organizational and administrative skill in managing supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of health care policies and procedures.

Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.

General knowledge of Federal laws and State guidelines regarding Medicaid.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written.

Five or more year’s supervisory experience in a chemical dependency program.

Must be Computer Literate.

Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.

Education

• BA/BS or equivalent in education or experience.

License / Certification

• Credentialed as an Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) NYS OASAS

• Licensed Master Social Worker / Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred not required.

• CPR Certification
