We are currently seeking a full-time Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Community Liaison for our Habit OPCO Lowell facility. Hours are Monday - Friday, occasional weekends, scheduled for 37.5 hour per week.
Habit OPCO Lowell, a member of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, is a part of the leader in medication assisted treatment for individuals seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. With full-circle care that includes a blend of therapies and the use of safe and effective medications, we are prepared to treat the entire disease, not just a piece of it.
Position Characteristics:
The OTP liaison position will serve as a human link between the OTP and the community. The liaison will report to the OTP Executive staff assigned to supervise and help coordinate his/her activities. The key responsibility is to work with the local stakeholders and community-based organizations; including but not limited to police departments and first responders, federally qualified health centers, local housing agencies and most importantly at primary care settings to ensure there is an understanding of and access to medication assisted treatment. Education, engagement and coordination are key responsibilities. The successfully candidate should be comfortable speaking in public and facilitating diverse groups. During their workday, liaisons normally split their time between offices and traveling to meetings with organizations in the local community. Liaisons may also assist in MAT coordination issues with BH LINK.
