About Our Team:

Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) provides the critical technical foundation for Citi’s operations and is responsible for delivering reliable IT solutions, scalable infrastructure services, and secure capabilities while creating a trusted customer experience and enabling Citi’s workforce to be the best for our clients. CTI Business Operations enables technology managers across the organization to effectively manage their resources and deliver their commitments in support of CTI's strategy, goals, and performance metrics. This is achieved through the provision of commercial aspects of CTI, analytics and reporting (including expense and productivity), workforce, real estate, supplier management, leadership and talent development, including entry level and pipeline programs, and employee engagement and communications.

The Employee Engagement, Product Marketing, and Change Adoption Team manages and strengthens CTI’s internal employee engagement, culture, onboarding, as well as talent and development initiatives. The team elevates knowledge and understanding of organizational changes and structures within CTI, ensures awareness of technology strategies across CTI and Citi, and drives user adoption through change management and impactful technology marketing.

The LinuxONE Engineering Lead Analyst will work with IBM LinuxONE technical domains within Citi Technology Infrastructure.

You will be expected to develop these products to provide PaaS capability to the IBM LinixONE platform, globally.

You are passionate about technology and you will develop the vision and implement a plan for future improvements within your scope.

You will be involved in advanced infrastructure build, problem management, and service improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in on-call rotations

  • Must be able to support infrequent after hours and weekend escalations as needed (aside from on-call rotation)

  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization as well as perform system capacity analysis and planning

  • Define technical requirements & design to support defined business requirements, develop technical architecture components

  • Review system performance and consumption issues, review test plans, and provide technical guidance

  • Manage and monitor the performance, utilization of the various server resources, support the analysis as well as correction of all end-user computing and network problems that may be associated with server processing

  • Utilize tools and processes, including but not limited to software distribution, backups, performance measurement, tuning, license and asset management to allow automated as well as remote systems management of the server environment

  • Provide support to resolve incident, problem, or service requests that require subject matter expertise and cannot be resolved by the EOC. Task personnel shall provide final problem resolution

  • Work with EOC to implement automated preventative measures, proactive monitoring and system self-healing capabilities to limit outages/performance issues which impact service levels

  • Contribute to the Root Cause Analysis efforts when applicable

  • Provide and maintain security hardened baseline configurations (software) and deploy security (patches), software maintenance (patches) and new software releases supporting products infrastructure

  • Collaborate with key partners to drive strategies to meet current and future business demand by improving service and achieving efficiencies for Citi

  • Directly impact the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams by providing mentoring and training to junior members of the team

  • Actively contribute towards self-development by creating and following development plans based on discussions with management

  • Drive team effectiveness by periodically reviewing the operating model and structure in line with CTI's growth plans and business requirements and recommending changes

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience with Linux (RHSA preferred)

  • Knowledge of Linux OS builds / repositories / patching

  • Experience opening tickets with RedHat

  • Professional experience scripting in some administrative language (Bash, Perl, Python, Yaml, etc.)

  • Ansible Tower/Bitbucket experience along with SDLC understanding.

  • z/VM skill preferred.

  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude with the drive to get the work done

  • Openstack administration experience

  • Enjoy collaborating and working with matrix teams

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Understand the importance of prioritization of your work

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred
