Do you love numbers, lead others, and use your skills to make a difference? Look no further, NMC Health is an award-winning, non-profit healthcare organization seeking an experienced Director of Finance with expertise in the areas of finance, general accounting, and overall treasury functions.

Job Summary

The Finance Director plans, organizes, and oversees activities related to the financial management of NMC Health. This includes planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, reimbursement, and managing the financial and accounting systems. In this role, you will compile required annual data requests from CMS, Federal and State agencies, and complete a variety of financial analysis projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for the policies and procedures related to the accounting and financial operations of the organization. As a Director, you will also plan and direct the operations of a department or area(s), with responsibility for staffing, processes, budgets, and cost adherence.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years in management, healthcare finance, and accounting; CPA or MBA preferred
  • Understanding of annual reporting and compliance requirements (Medicare Cost Report, DSH, Occupational Mix Survey, 990, 5500, and Financial and 401(k) audits)
  • Skilled in hospital and physician clinic review cycles, including third-party reimbursement
  • Annual budget preparation and analysis
  • Highly skilled in monthly GL closing, including adjusting entries and account reconciliation
  • Accounts payable with fixed asset control and tracking
  • Expense analysis and assisting department leaders with data requests
  • Development and maintenance of internal control systems
  • Management of insurance contracting, fee schedule development, and analysis
  • Supervision of W-2 balancing, form preparation, and electronic SSA submission
  • Strong management and team building experience
  • Skilled in spreadsheet software
  • Meditech BAR/GL Superuser experience preferred
  • Payroll experience is strongly preferred
