Site Reliability Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for the design, deployment, and maintenance of production-scale systems. Support services before they go live through activities, including consulting system design, developing software platforms and frameworks, planning capacity and launching reviews. Assist with continuously measure, monitor, and maximize availability, efficiency, and performance of live services, applications, and systems. Monitor production services using tools, such as Splunk. Maintain virtual environments, apply patches to development and production platforms, including Windows, VMWare, performing backup, recovery, collaborating with other software engineers to troubleshoot applications and services. Collaborate with Tier 1 support to respond to incidents and service requests. Support the migration of development and production applications and services to the Cloud.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Windows-based systems

-Experience with VMWare

-Experience with Active Directory

-Experience with hardening systems in compliance with security best practices and guidelines, including security technical implementation guides

-Experience with PowerShell

-Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices

-Knowledge of networking protocols, including DNS, DHCP, and NTP

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Linux, including RedHat, and CentOS

-Experience with configuration management and automation tools, including Puppet, Ansible, and Salt

-Experience with CI/CD tools, including TFS, and Jenkins

-Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

-Experience with implementing PKI/SSL

-Experience with configuring and managing Splunk

-Experience with one or more IT Services Management tools, including ServiceNow and Remedy

-Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including provisioning and managing VPCs, EC2 instances, security groups, and S3 buckets using CloudFormation scripting

-Experience with configuring Cisco switches

-Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

-Knowledge of one or more programming languages, including .NET and Java

-Microsoft or AWS Certification
