Compensation Minimum:$23.00 Hourly

Compensation Maximum:$29.81 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Agent will be a critical member of a high performing sales and underwriting team, with the opportunity to play a significant role in influencing our Small Commercial results and strengthen our value and relationships to our agents.

Through consultative selling, this role will have the opportunity to use those skills to influence existing and potential customers through the insurance buying experience. In this role, you will build and strengthen lasting relationships with both your customers and your agents.

This role will also have underwriting responsibilities and underwriting authority. This position requires the use sound underwriting judgment within company guidelines and corporate market direction for specific agents within assigned territory to achieve loss ratio and growth objectives. administers and monitors underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules and laws/regulations.

Primary responsibilities of the role:

* Handle a high volume of calls (inbound and outbound) generated from our lead program and channels
* Develop and offer a customer specific insurance solution that will meet our customer needs
* Provide additional customer and team support as needed.

Licensing: All Agents must hold an active Property and Casualty License

Skills and Experience for success:

* A secondary education (Bachelor's or Associates degree) is preferred but not required.
* Additional related, industry certifications (such as CPCU, CIC, etc) are preferred.
* Experience in the insurance industry with experience in sales, marketing, customer management, account management, and underwriting is preferred.
* Customer service oriented and focused
* Ability to drive sales volume and Goal oriented
* Strong learning agility and problem-solving skills
* Self-management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize and work independently
* Entrepreneurial spirit and strong desire to be a part of a higher performing team
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must possess ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the company with internal and external customers, agents.
* Proficiency and proven skill in use of computer programs, including strong knowledge and utilization of Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to maintain composure, exercise good judgment and act in a professional manner when challenged; ability to build and sustain positive and collaborative working relationships.
* Strong conceptual and analytical ability; decision-making and proven negotiation skills a must.
* Successful completion of the MSA Sales curriculum
* Strong knowledge of the territory and the region including agency competitor demographics and economic trend

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

* Strong conceptual and analytical abilities.
* Decision-making and proven negotiation skills.
