We are seeking a Vice President, New Business Development to identify, pursue and capture new business opportunities for our Insights practice.
Identify new business opportunities and present relevant, innovative solutions to address the needs of stakeholders within both client and prospect organizations
Consistent prospecting (‘hunting’) using a disciplined, planned approach
Work primarily with totally new clients; as such, once a new client is in the door, reinforce their good decision to use Company, and be present in their world often enough for them to realize their value and importance to Company. Maintain and grow the relationship.
Significant focus on newly emerging digital opportunities and ability to sell Company Insights newest tools and approaches.
Maintain a healthy, steady pipeline of new business opportunities, and provide accurate sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Develop and execute strategies to ensure a steady pipeline of new business
Develop 2-3 Key Accounts that do $1M+ of recurring revenue on an annual basis
Front-line liaison between client/ prospect organizations and internal teams. Inspire both clients and colleagues.
Gather and communicate feedback from both customers and potential buyers, as it pertains to Company’s products and services. Offer guidance on needs in the market.
Monitor competitor activity, and potential opportunities for innovation
Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop creative solutions that effectively address customer challenges, including customized and standardized approaches that can harness multiple data sources to generate compelling insights.
Ability to project thought leadership and act as ambassador for Company
Develop and manage a communications plan to ensure that Company is top-of-mind for client and prospect organizations for future opportunities. Publish blog posts regularly.
Develop and present sales materials and presentations to generate interest in Company‘s products and services
Record activity in CRM/communicate well internally
CRM knowledge and expertise
7+ years of experience in an account manager/ solution sales business development role
Experience of working within a primary market research and/ or professional services environment
