SAIC is building engineering teams of cross- functional disciplines in an exciting and challenging environment to support our Army customer to quickly build and deploy military intelligence systems and solutions as quick reaction capabilities (QRC) to support the war fighter in complex battlespace scenarios. These teams are managed using a scaled Agile framework in collaborative private cloud hosted engineering environments providing scalable on-demand resources with centralized maintenance and support so the team can focus on their work; management is minimized and collaboration are maximized, key requirements for QRC. The results are a combination of hardware and software infrastructure necessary to achieve a complete and elastic environment for building, hosting, integrating, and sustaining web-enabled applications and application-specific web services. This is accomplished by applying service-oriented and micorservice architectures using innovative software and hardware tools. SAIC sustainment includes the re-write of legacy systems, maintenance of hardware and software infrastructure, and the addition of features to existing systems to maximize cost savings, manage resource utilization, and provide solutions unique to Army challenges. The Systems Integrator will work as part of a team of technical staff including software engineers, database engineers, network engineers, test engineers, system administrators, information assurance (IA) analysts, and subject matter experts. The systems integrator will perform support for core infrastructure and services including: hardware upgrades; Linux and Windows installation and administration; configuration and maintenance of system services including web application servers, SQL databases, Java runtime, AD services; VMware ESXi hypervisor installation and management; application-specific VM installation and integration; iterative security monitoring in compliance with DoD IA standards including IA Nessus scanning and STIG maintenance; incident tracking, troubleshooting, system monitoring, and system performance evaluation; verify the integrity and availability of system components, review logs and validate completion of functions in system and remediate issues identified.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as an individual an Engineering Team.

-
Apply patches and upgrade software versions as directed.

-
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

-
Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.

-
Monitor system functionality and report to organizational leads.

-
Conducts iterative security monitoring and reporting in compliance with DoD IA standards.

-
Perform daily monitoring, incident tracking, remediation, and escalation when appropriate

Install and configure new services as directed

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

-
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute preferably in a Technical Computer Field (preferred concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Networking, or related technical discipline).

Minimum nine (9) years of experience in system engineering and system integration

-
Strong experience in documenting and communicating system issues, remediation plan and actions, and long-term trend analysis tracking for complex software systems

-
Experience with Atlassian JIRA for task/issue/bug tracking

-
Experience with task estimating and planning

-
Must have strong analytic, written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills

-
Solid understanding of IP network technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

Technical understanding of systems, databases, networking, and computing environments

-
Basic knowledge with DoD Cyber Security auditing, continuous monitoring and analysis.

-
Possesses good interpersonal and communications skills in dealing with multiple contractor and government organizations.

Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently, but also within a team

-
Must be able to learn quickly in a highly technical fast paced environment.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

Must currently possess TS/SCI.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certifications of preference: CompTIA certifications for Linux+, Network+, Security+; MCSE; CISSP, CEH; GSEC, GCIH, CISA, GCED, SSCP

Familiar with biometric intelligence data

Strong systems engineering knowledge of military systems

Familiar with multiple operating systems to include Linux, and Windows Virtualization experience with VMware Workstation and VMware VSphere
