Responsibilities

The technologically advanced lab facilities at St. Luke’s Health provide comprehensive lab testing for all outpatients and surgical patients. Our Main OR  Nurse will be in charge of patients scheduled for surgical procedures. Our nurses are flexible and can circulate and will act as the liaision between the patient, patients relatives and medical team.   

What you need in this role: 

The ability to move quickly - We prep about 5-15 patients a day for surgery across 3-4 open rooms

A great communicator -  The ability to effectively communicate with all team members and patients in  a calm, professional manner 

Team player - we move fast and each person on the team helps each other throughout the day to get our patients seen in a timely manner. 


Qualifications

RN II Requirements: 

  • Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
  • BLS with skills demonstration
  • At least one (1) year of RN experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as OR Nurse  
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
