Grant Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Grant Accountant in Washington, DC. Responsibilities:- Review compliance requirements and maintain the compliance matrix for the organization
- Keep abreast of applicable federal policies and regulations to determine if any policy changes are needed, recommending updates as needed and communication changes to staff
- Develop and implement compliance training program
- Work closely with program staff on inquiries, understanding programs and ensuring good communication
- Provide various reporting to funders, assist with annual audits and provide various financial, forecasting and cost analysis projects and grant management-related project forecasting
- Perform various analyses of grant financial data at the direction of the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Grant & Contracts Management
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-5 years of non- profit accounting experience
- Knowledge and understanding of federal contracts and FAR regulations
- Demonstrated skills in developing, implementing and overseeing compliance programs
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
