Our CEO is a sales and marketing genius but gets caught up by the urgent day-to-day tasks of running the business. We need a lovingly-bossy “office mom” to keep our CEO in line and make sure he calls his mother and eats his vegetables.
(Please note that we've never hired for this position before so we're attempting to balance the risk created from our inexperience of never hiring a non-revenue generating position with the need to free up the CEO's time. We're doing this by creating a trial position, perhaps 90 days, at a lower than market rate, about $20/hr. If the value of this role is proven then the rate will go up accordingly.)
We are located in SOMA, 2 blocks from a BART station. It's a comfortable casual office, casual dress, with rooftop access.
Years of professional experience are not important here, only moxie (yes moxie) and practical knowhow count. It’s also not important that you be super tech savvy, if you know how to use a laptop, screen and respond to emails, deal with customer service reps on the CEOs behalf, and keep the accounts balanced then you’re probably qualified to learn the rest on the job.
Some common tasks in this role:
- Paying bills
- Basic bookkeeping (like QuickBooks)
- Helping new employees with onboarding
- Scaling the stair-ladder to the roof

- Google Drive
Plusses (not required):
- Have your own laptop that you’re comfortable using
- Good at dealing with customer service reps (excellent conversational English)
- Sharp at basic math
- Skilled at darts
