Job Description

Schneider has an immediate need for a process driven and detail oriented Logistics Analyst. This individual's primary responsibilities are to perform transportation and dealer claim analysis work along with involvement in the planning and transition of the customers' legacy claims systems to an SAP platform.  Provides analytical and system conversion support to claims operations team.  This position is a gateway to a career of interesting challenges, celebrated victories and limitless opportunities.
Duties and responsibilities include but limited to: 
  • Gather data from multiple systems, to create detailed analytical studies, identifying trends and establishing metrics.
  • Determine root cause when performance metrics fall below goals, support creation of action plans and solution implementation.
  • Perform cost benefit analysis on claim processes.
  • Continuous improvement approach, interact closely with other internal groups, third parties, carriers, suppliers, customer locations in improving existing processes and procedures that provide additional customer value.
  • Develop and implement cost saving opportunities for the customer
  • Complete miscellaneous transportation and logistics cost analysis as requested
  • Work collaboratively with customer counterparts to meet common goals, key factors and cost saving initiatives.
  • Work with SAP Operations Manager in the planning and implementation of claims systems
  • Support SAP development of process definitions, alignment, and testing
  • Work at Schneider Logistics office in Farmington Hills MI and on-site at customer location in Livonia MI

Job Requirements

Our preferred candidate will have:
  • Preferred College Degree in logistics or related field
  • 3 plus years of experience in logistics, transportation management, or operations management.
  • Strong data manipulation skills Microsoft Excel and Access skills.
  • SAP experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with TeraData preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop effective customer and internal relationships.
  • Strong problem solving skills with ability to function effectively in time-sensitive situations
  • Ability to quickly understand business processing software and processes
  • Initiative and strong work standards
  • Ability to work in a fast moving, demanding environment with attention to detail
  • Effective planning, organization and documentation skills required
