Job Description

  • I. Position Summary:

    Functions as a direct patient care giver under the supervision of a Supervisor or assigned Team Leader.
    V. Qualifications:

    A. Licensure:  Holds a current Texas license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).  Assignment to Critical Care areas requires completion of critical care preceptorship.  Assignment to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit requires completion of NICU preceptorship.  

    B. Credentials:  Holds a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

    C. Certifications:  

    ? Holds a current Healthcare Provider BLS card issued by the American Heart Association.  
    ?  ACLS certification within 12 months of hire.

    ? NRP Certification within 30 days of hire.
    ? STABLE Completion within 6 months of hire.
    ? Neonatal Pediatric Specialty credentials within 12 months of hire.
