In this role, you will diagnose brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems issues. ASE Master Automotive Technician / Mechanic (Diagnostics)


Job Responsibilities

As an ASE Master Automotive Technician, your primary focus will be diagnostics. In addition to diagnosing you may also be responsible for estimating and repairing all automotive electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems on most current makes and models of vehicles, both foreign and domestic. You will also assist other technicians in performing technical and mechanical activities. 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Electronic transmission diagnostics, service, repairs, replacements, and overhaul
  • Researching the vehicle that is being worked on for service bulletins and repair info
  • Explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals who may include other employees and/or customers on an as-required basis
  • Learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology

ASE Master Automotive Technician requirements:

  • 5+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem solving, and repair experience as you mentor and teach associates while discussing problems with customers
  • Master ASE Certified L1 (Automobile Advanced Engine Performance Specialist) with a focus on diagnostics
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • High level of motivation and energy
