Job Description

The successful Warehouse Manager will be responsible for supervising and mentoring Material Control Supervisor, Material Handlers, and Stockroom, and Receiving employees. 
The successful Warehouse Manager must:
• Ensure timely and accurate transactions in the Business System software including production reporting, inventory, material movements, scrap reporting, daily management of the Cycle Count Program and maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area.  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of all transactions and solve problems by conducting a thorough root analysis, investigation and solution implementation as required also includes training and overseeing the plant wide KanBan system while creating, reviewing, and updating processes and procedures.  • Maintain system data and integrity (includes CUMs, Lead-Times, Safety Stock levels, etc...) and implementing barcoding throughout the facility. 
• Follow safety requirements. KPI metric accountability. Schedule and monitor daily work activities of employees.  • Train and review employee performance and take corrective action when appropriate. Build and maintain a good working relationship with internal and external Customers and Suppliers.  • Maintain and update Item Master information for Stockroom items (ensure proper lead-times and safety stock levels are kept current). • Oversee care and maintenance of warehouse equipment. Implementation of barcode system and reporting throughout the plant.  • Protect Toshiba assets by ensuring the parts are properly handled during receiving, stocking and pulling parts for production.  • Review business operating system for functionality and accuracy.  • Maintain and generate weekly/monthly reports as directed. Integral member of continuous improvement teams. • Manage Kanban levels to minimize on hand inventory while still meeting customer service requirements and update them at least quarterly. Investigate discrepancies in Business System Software.  • Maintain an organized and clean work area (participate in all 5S initiatives).Cost reductions/ Inventory reduction initiatives.  • Coordinate and ensure Cycle Counts are executed in a timely and accurate manner per the established schedule. Coordination and execution of plant physical inventories. Transaction accountability.  • Conduct weekly department meetings and report out on designated metrics.  • Maintain employee time cards and vacation schedules. Maintain company policy on inventory control.  • Review and report inventory adjustments when needed Maintain accurate inventory counts.  • Establish and develop policies and procedures for control plant warehouse. • Other tasks as identified. 
Travel: None
Prefer Industrial Distribution, Business Administration, Business Management, Supply Chain Management 
Prefer 5 years warehouse experience with a minimum 3 years Supervisory experience Good communication and writing skills Ability to adapt to rapidly changing schedules and environment Proven ability to lead individuals and manage conflict Experience with computer and ERP, MRP, MS Office software Tools/Equipment Bar scanning, personal computer, computer printers, forklift, pallet jack, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) 
Occasionally lift and move heavy parts or completed units.
Manufacturing facility with limited climate controlled areas. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter; wet docks when raining, continuous exposure to fork lift traffic.
