A day in the life of our Quantitative Risk Analyst: (role and responsibilities)
The Quantitative Risk Analyst is an important member of a team of risk professionals working on a wide variety of projects in quantitative finance. These may include analyzing relative value in the secondary market for mortgage credit risk, providing analytical support for pricing primary mortgage insurance, refining the calculation of risk-adjusted return on capital for various business lines or new product initiative, etc. The Quantitative Risk Analyst must be adept at managing competing priorities, advancing multiple projects concurrently and mentoring more junior team members. The successful candidate will bring a detailed understanding of available mortgage credit risk modeling tools including the strengths and weaknesses of each in different applications.

What we’re looking for: (requirements)
Education:Completion of Master’s Degree in Computational Finance or related field with a focus on quantitative financial analytics. Additional experience (2 years) beyond the minimum (below) may be substituted for education beyond a Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: Requires more than 5 years advanced work
Required Knowledge and Skills:
•Interdisciplinary knowledge including finance, mathematics, statistics, and programming
•Principles and mathematics behind stochastic modeling
•Experience with stochastic mortgage credit risk and performance models including ADCo and CoreLogic
•Proficiency in data query and statistical tools/languages such as SAS, SQL, or similar
•Experience with mortgage securitization models and software, including Intex
•Statistical and machine learning methods for financial data
•Probability and simulation methods
