The primary focus of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to fill the pipeline with qualified candidates and positively impact time to fill. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for providing candidates for CDL route and relief sales professionals, general workers and administrative assistants for all DSD (Direct Store Delivery) branch locations across the United States. Out of the box thinking and creativity is required for development of a recruitment strategy to attract super star applicants with respect to skills and company culture. This position is responsible for reviewing resumes and applications and conducting interviews/phone screens to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements as well as providing information about the organization and position.

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:
Leads the Talent Acquisition and selection efforts for open DSD branch positions in support of targeted staffing levels.
Identifies and screens high caliber candidates that match both the required technical and intrapersonal skills.
Efficiently and effectively fills open DSD positions focusing on reducing time to fill.
Posts DSD open positions online with professional organizations and other appropriate venues.
Networks and builds connections to find qualified passive candidates.
Creates and maintains recruiting files.
Creates and analyzes company metrics for recruiting sources to identify best value for the company and makes recommendations to DSD management regarding future recruitment spend.
Creates metrics defining potential opportunities to enhance the hiring process to reduce time to fill and makes recommendations to DSD management.
Accurately maintains Affirmative Action data such as applicant flow data.

- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years Talent Acquisition experience, required.
- 1+ year experience with applicant tracking systems, required.
- Experience in a sales, DSD or logistics environment requiring CDL licenses; preferred.
- Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with hiring managers/candidates in remote locations.
- Must possess a high level of professionalism and discretion to deal with a variety of inquiries from candidates and employees.
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
