Job Description

The Schneider organization has an immediate need for an energetic Transportation Representative to provide frontline support to our customers and drivers. As a Transportation Representative, you will be accountable for utilizing, tracking and monitoring available resources (drivers/trailers) and finding innovative ways to improve day-to-day operations, increase efficiency and reduce waste. With a safety emphasis, you will be building close working relationships with other associates within the team as well as customers. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Meet operational key factor goals/metrics
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships to retain quality drivers
  • Provide operational support with problems which may arise in regards to the customer or the drivers work assignment
  • Develop and maintain profitable, long term relationships with shippers and consignees by providing the best, most efficient transportation service possible while ensuring a balance of safety, customer service and
  • organizational values

Job Requirements

Our preferred candidate will have:
  • High school diploma/GED or two years prior work experience, transportation/customer service experience preferred. 
  • Advanced technical/computer skills with the ability to use at least 3 to 4 different programs simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude
  • Creative problem-solving, analytical  and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An innovative, goal-oriented and results driven approach
