CFS has teamed up with a nonprofit organization focused on providing a greater value and life changes for their clientele. They're looking to add to their team with a supervisory level Senior Accountant. If you're an experienced accountant who is ready to take the reigns, and grow into a leadership/point of contact role in the near future, then this could be an ideal Senior Accountant role to consider. We are searching for a motivated individual with a high attention to detail, and direct communication coupled with an outgoing personality.
Desired Skills for Senior Accountant: Prior experience in a nonprofit is desired for the Senior Accountant, but not required Must have at least 3 years of accounting experience The Senior Accountant must have experience within the general ledger, and the month end close process The desire to take on a more leadership style position is a plus Great attention to detail is required for the Senior Accountant Must have good communication, and a positive attitude that is comfortable working in a small team
Responsibilities of Senior Accountant: The Senior Accountant will work as a second hand to the CFO, with a heavy focus on the general ledger Work to reconcile various accounts Update and post journal entries Maintain and update the fixed asset inventory system Assist with preparation of financial statements
