The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Salem IL, is seeking an energetic, customer focused and sales-oriented General Manager to lead the team.
The position is responsible for all aspects of the daily hotel operation and sales effort. We are seeking a manager who is dedicated to developing & training the staff to guarantee the highest level of guest satisfaction and property performance.
We are a small limited service hotel owned by a small management company that is rapidly growing and offers a great opportunity for future advancement. We hold our staff to a high standard and are looking for someone to lead by example.
Manages all aspects of the hotel.
Facilitates the preparation of budgets and forecasts for submission.
Directs hotel actions required to maximize profitability, increasing service levels and compliance with Corporate policies and procedures.
Responsible for the Sales and Marketing activity and results.
Consistently meet and/or exceed all sales activity and revenue goals.
Negotiate and close contracts
Speaks with and responds to guest regarding service challenges.
Maintaining good relationships with existing clients.
Exploring new ways to increase revenue.
Conduct on-going facility inspections throughout the hotel to assure that cleanliness, safety, and other standards are met.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Enhances hotel's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Possess a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in hotel management.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills including mastery of developing and maintaining client relations and networking in order to successfully drive existing and new business.
Interpersonal skills and a commitment to internal customer service standards required.
Proficiency in Word and Excel; Knowledge of hotel property management systems
BA/BS Degree in Hospitality Management or Business or related field from an accredited university or college preferred.
