Job Summary

The Paint Project Manager will be responsible for managing industrial coatings projects, specifically water and tank rehabilitation and re-coating projects.The Company is an SSPC QP1 – QP2 Contractor in the Industrial Coating Services Industry. The Paint Project Manager will supervise and manage field personnel. The ideal candidate must be results orientated, have exceptionally strong leadership skills, with a positive can do attitude, and have the ability to overcome obstacles to meet the project schedule on time and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Provide purchasing manager with the appropriate technical requirements, schedule, and budget for the major items to be purchased. Create requisitions as per the procurement system in place, signed off by management for approval to purchased.

 Oversee and direct projects from start to completion.

 Ensure that work in the field is being performed according to Company HSE and Quality programs.

 Review each project in-depth to schedule tasks, subcontractors, tools, equipment, and materials deliveries.

 Review work progress on a daily basis, manage the costs and the behaviors of the site personnel under their charge.

 Exercise proactive behavior to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.

 Meet contractual conditions of performance.

 Review and update Project Status Reports in preparation for the division monthly statement review with upper management.

 Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, progress meetings, and walk-throughs as required.

 Prepare estimates for new work using established company formulas and procedures and ensure that any unusual conditions receive a full management review and approval prior to submittal.

 Attend weekly meetings with management and others to discuss ongoing and future projects including budgets, revenue and cost projections.

 Travel when necessary to inspect jobsites.

 Prepare project budgets.
