The role of the Financial Analyst will be to work with the Accounting Team to process financial data. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for processing billings for Prime and Subcontract invoices, general ledger entries, accounts receivable, unbilled analysis and other special projects as assigned. Candidate will be prepared to cross-train on various other aspects of the Accounting Department. Position requires ability to communicate ideas both written and oral in a professional and concise manner. This individual must be organized, have the ability to multi-task, detail oriented and be a team player. Other accounting duties may be assigned as the Accounting Manager deems necessary. Work location will be at our Lexington Park office.
- Accounting experience to include accounts payable, accounts receivable analysis, billings, unbilled analysis and close out of contracts.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment;
- Knowledge of (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
- Previous work with government contracting (preferred).
- 2 year degree in Accounting or Business Admin required
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with Deltek or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) type system
- Research and analysis skills
- Ability to communicate ideas in a professional manner
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advance knowledge of Excel
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
