*5+ years as a Mechanical Engineer developing/executing hardware or vehicular test plans, reports and conducting readiness reviews.
*Strong hands on, integration and test, test equipment setup, maintenance and fault isolation diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting tools; lab and remote lab setup skills
*Good skills in Environmental Screening testing (shock/thermal/hydraulic/HALT)
*Able to travel to on site testing location 2+ hrs south of San Jose, as long as one month at a time
Able to gain a Secret Clearance upon starting, which requires US Citizenship
*BSME
Pluses:
*Experience testing of tracked or wheeled military vehicles such as M2 BFV, M7 BFIST, M270 MLRS, ACV 1.1, particularly veterans supporting these vehicles overseas, are encouraged to apply.
*Instrumentation/data acquisition/Sensor testing skills; CAN Bus and/or MIL-STD-1553 Bus experience
*Test fixture design using CREO/Pro/E or modeling skills.
*Advanced data processing, analysis skills using MATLAB

We are searching for a Military Vehicle test engineer who will be conducting lab testing of vehicles as well as field test 2.5 hours from our main site, monthly. The test will vary from Environmental testing, to test analysis, for both hardware and software parts/components worthiness to be unleashed into real in combat environments.
Daily work will include setting up testing requirements/test plan development, test designing, field testing, etc. Much of the work will revolve around Environmental testing of vehicles for temperature extremes, shock/vibration, air flow profiling, dampness, interior systems testing like hydraulics, electronics, weapons system testing, radiographic/navigation and surveillance testing, etc. Candidate will provide manufacturing in-process functional, environmental qualification, environmental stress screening (ESS), formal qualification (FQT), and acceptance (ATP) testing.
