Job Description

Payroll Specialist being added due to retirement within long term team.  Will report to CFO.  This is a full time hourly position with full health benefits.  

Duties include: verifying timekeeping records and consulting with staff regarding discrepancies; entering payroll data into system and verifying all amounts prior to processing;cutting checks/ACH;  pulling time from resources and Excel, updating employee tax status, direct deposit and deductions/garnishments as necessary; processing unemployment claims with  third party service; troubleshooting and customer service.  Training will be offered.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma required; Associates in Business or related field preferred.

Employment agency/Staffing-Recruiting firm experience desired but not mandatory

2-3 years experience in payroll process required

Basic understanding of [payroll and accounting principles

Intermediate Excel user required, assessment given

Familiar with payroll systems and processing ACH

Strong organizational and time management skills and strong attention to detail

Great math skills, problem solving experience and ability to meet deadlines

Strong customer service with heart!  Skills should excellent follow through, great verbal and written communication skills

Great teamplayer

Pay dependent upon experience

Assessments will be given in data entry/keystroks, Excel and customer service
