Senior Customer Service Representative
Mason, OH

Essential Functions:

  • Provides assistance and act as liaison between company and customer within the Customer Portal.
  • Compile records and report on various aspects of production, such as materials and parts used and products produced
  • Communication with freight carriers and automotive customers to ship products
  • Analyze shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed
  • Maintain contact with carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for loading products.
  • Manage current shipping department personnel
  • Informs shipping department of location and time of arrival of transportation
  • Schedule customer demand for daily manufacturing
  • Work closely with Master Scheduler for forecasting

  • Hold team accountable for their health and safety responsibilities. Actively discourage shortcuts and enforce safety policies with fairness and consistency.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and display cooperative involvement in all safety and health programs
  • Ensure prompt corrective action is taken when hazards are recognized or unsafe acts are observed
  • Enforce usage and care of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

This position does have supervisory responsibilities.

Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the Sr.  Customer Service Representative will be in a manufacturing environment where loud noises and hot or cold temperatures are possible.

  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Travel:

Negligible

Education & Experience:

  • Associates Degree in related field or 3-5 years’ experience in related field
  • Experience in materials/ production control, manufacturing, or related field
  • Automotive background preferred
  • Prior experience with lean manufacturing in a JIT environment is preferred
  • Strong administrative, clerical skills are a plus.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to compile and analyze data and make informed decisions
